Design Optimization
Early on, we establish the product specifications to develop a design suitable for manufacturing. Manufacturability must be prioritized to ensure efficient production time, excellent quality, and sustainability. Through our Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis, our clients are educated about the manufacturing nuances associated with specific designs and empowered to make the best choice for their project.
Time to Market
To reduce the time to market, AdvancTEK utilizes the following manufacturing techniques:
- Rapid prototyping
- Mold flow and production simulations
- Various tools, such as Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- In-house tool design
- Additive manufacturing
Coupled with AdvancTEK’s phase gate approach and leveraging of collaborative design principles, our team takes a proactive initiative to design and development planning. These efforts enable us to create proofs of concept, conduct design assessments, detect issues early, and establish a Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) to streamline the testing and validation processes.

Through our Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) service, we bring our clients one step closer to success by resolving supply issues and striving for continuous advancements. When customers first introduce products to the market, they may realize they need more parts than planned to meet market needs. Or, some products may remain in production longer than the scheduled lifecycle, exceeding the funds originally allocated to the project. Both scenarios result in an unforeseen increase in costs and need for resources. VA/VE enables us to utilize new technologies and materials as more beneficial alternatives for existing products, allowing clients to sell more for less.

During production: We prioritize the design’s manufacturability as this can quickly determine the product’s success. If the product is not easily reproducible, too expensive, or too high maintenance for repairs or updates, then there are too many points of failure. Post-production: Upon project completion, we maintain our client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and use their feedback to improve our services.
